Half-Day Banff & Yoho Snowshoe Tours

We offer three exciting and unique Half-Day Snowshoe Tours on various trails in Banff and Yoho National Parks!

Our certified guides will lead you on one of four trails in Banff & Yoho National Parks while providing colorful stories of the local history, the stunning natural landscape rich with wildlife and natural landforms. Price includes experienced certified guide, snowshoe rentals (snowshoes, boots and poles), hot chocolate and snack. 

  • Emerald Lake (Yoho) - Beginner.
  • Lake O'Hara Fire Road (Yoho) - Moderate
  • Sherbrooke Lake (Yoho) - Advanced.

Open group tours

Are you happy to meet new people? Are you open to different locations? For each day, the trail is chosen by the first person to sign up. There’s a minimum of 3, but if you sign up and there aren’t enough participants you can have a refund or upgrade to a private tour.

Private tours

Allow your guide to provide a custom experience on the trail of your choice in the privacy of your own group.

Booking Your Tour Date & Time

Tours runs daily at 9:00am now until April 15, 2019 (while conditions allow). Once you have purchased your tour online simply call (1-403-522-1385), email guides@skilouise.com to let us know what date you would like to come. This tour need to be reserved at lease 24h before the start of the tour.. Please show your receipt and photo ID when you arrive.

Tour Details

Price includes experienced certified guide, snowshoe rentals (snowshoes, boots and poles), hot chocolate and snack .

  • Tours are approximately 3-4 hours.
  • Departing daily at 9:00am now until April 15, 2019 (custom departure times available upon request).
  • Meet with your snowshoe guide at the guides cabin in-front of Lodge of the Ten Peaks 30 minutes before departure to collect rental equipment (meeting at the trail head also possible).
  • Includes transportation from and to Lake Louise (Ski Resort and local hotels).

Note: Guests are required to wear warm winter gear. We suggest a winter jacket, snow pants, gloves, winter footwear and warm socks, and a toque or balaclava. In addition, snow goggles are great for sun glare and windier days. Our Rental Shop can fit you with a winter jacket and pants (optional) or you can purchase top brand winter gear from our Alpine Sports Boutique. A light backpack is also a good idea to carry your camera, water and snacks.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations are recommended due to limited spaces. Changes to reservations can be made based on availability. As Snowshoeing is a winter sport, there will be no refunds for extreme weather conditions.
